SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Politicians who demand that Indian tribes 'pay their fair share' are ignoring both current reality and the facts of history, National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) chairman Ernie Stevens Jr. said today at a news conference hosted in conjunction with the organization's 14th annual trade show and conference at the San Diego Convention Center.
'Gaming is bringing prosperity to Indian and non-Indian communities alike nationwide,' said Stevens, who was re-elected for another two-year term as NIGA's chairman. 'But because of the many misperceptions about our industry, it is critical that we continue to fight on behalf of the tribes and we will continue to do so with dignity and statesmanship.'"
