Toronto, Ontario, June 23 /PR Direct/ - On Sunday, May 29 thousands of walkers and orthopaedic professionals in more than 40 communities across the country raised $1.3 million for the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation in the 14th annual Hip Hip Hooray! walk. Hip Hip Hooray! is the signature fundraising event of the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation and is a symbolic walk celebrating patients return to mobility.
'Patients feel a strong attachment to Hip Hip Hooray! and the event offers them a chance to re-connect with their surgical team,' says Dr. Paul Wright, orthopaedic surgeon and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Foundation. 'My patients love to see photos of themselves in my office. It shows them and new patients that their surgical team is truly interested in their recovery.' "
