New York, NY (March 30, 2005) — Kanyere Eaton, Executive Director of The Sister Fund will receive the prestigious Emerging Leader honor from the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE) and the Changing the Face of Philanthropy Award by the Women’s Funding Network. The Changing the Face of Philanthropy honor will be presented during the Women’s Funding Network Annual Conference on April 8th, 2005 and the ABFE award on April 9th, 2005 at the Council on Foundations Annual Conference in San Diego, CA. Eaton is a graduate of Cornell University where she completed a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies. In 1997, she completed a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University and a Masters in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
